1. What should I do when my vehicle needs servicing and maintenance?
Please call GRAC to book an appointment for your vehicle service. GRAC will book your vehicle for service and arrange a replacement vehicle.
2. What are the periodic checks that I need to do?
It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the battery, oil, water, other fluid levels and tyre pressure are regularly checked as stated in the manufacturer’s handbook. Please call GRAC in case of any service and maintenance issues.
3. What should I do if my vehicle breaks down?
GRAC provides a 24/7 roadside assistance and recovery service. Please call 800 4 900 / +9714 2994969.
4. What should I do if I receive a traffic fine?
All fines are paid by GRAC and invoiced to customer. Please do contact GRAC for clarifications and information on Traffic Fines.
5. What should I do if my vehicle is involved in an accident?
Vehicles involved in an accident should be reported to the police and the user of the vehicle should obtain a Police Report. Once the Police Report is obtained, the customer should call GRAC to inform about the incident and arrange for a replacement vehicle. A copy of the Police Report should be provided to GRAC.
6. How do I pay for my Vehicle hire?
Customer can pay by Credit Card or Pay by Cash by visiting GRAC office.Please call us or refer to our ‘Terms and Conditions’ for more details.
7. What should I do if my vehicle is stolen?
Customer should report the theft to the police immediately, obtain a copy of the police report and then notify GRAC.
8. What is the insurance coverage?
All GRAC vehicles are fully comprehensively insured as required by the UAE law. Additional coverage options are available upon request.
9. Can I drive my vehicle outside the UAE?
A vehicle rented in the UAE may be driven into Oman with valid Oman insurance and an NOC issued by GRAC. Please contact GRAC 24hrs in advance to avail this service. In case of general holidays/Public holidays, it is advisable to inform GRAC considering the process may take extra time. It is advisable to inform GRAC well in advance considering the process would take extra time.
10. Which all driving license holders are eligible to drive in UAE?
a) Visitors from the below countries are allowed to drive in the Dubai with their local valid driving license however we strongly recommend that customer obtains an international license as this may not apply in certain cases or if there are any other changes which may not be known during the time of travel:

b) Visitors from Canada, South Korea, Japan, Poland, Turkey and Greece are requested to have a translation of their license approved by the Council or Embassy. However,it is strongly recommended to obtainan international driving license.
c) GCC Passport holders can drive the vehicle on their National licenses. GCC countries are as follows: Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates.
d) Expatriates holding a GCC license are acceptable provided that the driver must have a current residence visa for the GCC country that has issued the license.
e) In case of Residence Visa holder, Employment Visa holder in UAE, UAE local license is a must to drive the vehicle.
GRAC strongly recommends visitors to obtain international driving license and also, to check in advance about the eligibility of the usage of their driving license from the RTA authority in UAE.
